PATIENT NOTIFICATION
Our office has implemented an email notification system. We ask that you allow us to email you in lieu of mailing out reminders for your annual exams and normal lab results. If you do not have access to a computer, we will of course notify you by mail.
APPOINTMENTS
Our office hours are:
Monday through Thursday - 8 AM until 5 PM
Friday - 8 AM until 12:30 PM
We offer extended hours every other Thursday until 6:15 PM
At Women Caring our appointments fill up quickly. Please call to schedule your annual exam at least three (3) months before you are due. Most insurances require your annual visit be scheduled at least one (1) year and (1) day from your last annual exam.
We will notify you by email three months prior to your annual visit being due.
Problem related visits will be scheduled as soon as possible based upon urgency.
Our voice messaging system will notify you two days ahead of time to remind you of your scheduled visit. We request that you contact us 24 hours prior to your appointment if you need to cancel. Failure to contact us that you will be unable to keep your appointment will result in a $25.00 no show fee.
ANNUAL VISITS AND NEW PATIENTS
On the day of your annual visit we ask that you arrive at our office at least 15 to 20 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. You will need to complete or update paperwork. If you are a new patient and have records from your former gynecologist please make arrangements to have that paperwork forwarded to us prior to your appointment.
PAYMENT OPTIONS
Your co-pay is due at the time of service. We participate with most major insurance carriers and offer a variety of payment options, such as Master Card, Visa, American Express, cash and check.
TEST RESULTS
You will be notified of all normal test results by email. If your result is abnormal or you need further evaluation you will receive a phone call from either your Provider or your Provider’s nurse. Please use the following as a guideline for receiving your results. We ask that you do not call the office requesting your results unless the following guideline times have been exceeded.
PAP SMEAR 2 WEEKS
MAMMOGRAM 2 WEEKS
BLOOD TESTS/BIOPSY 1-2 WEEKS DEPENDING ON THE TEST
BONE DENSITY 1-2 WEEKS
PRESCRIPTIONS
Your provider will give you a written prescription for your medication when you are here for your visit. Please take this prescription to your pharmacy to be filled. We will not call this prescription in for you.
If you run out of your birth control prescription and do not have an annual exam scheduled, you will need to contact us and schedule your appointment.
If you run out of any other medication that has been prescribed by one of our providers, or feel that you need a prescription for an issue that you are having, you will need to contact our office and speak with a nurse. It may be determined that you need to see your provider before any medication can be prescribed.
